THROMBUS Plenary Meeting – month 6

THROMBUS Plenary Meeting at month 6 was held in the nice place of the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland on 4th-5th October 2011. Thanks to Jean-Philippe Thiran for the perfect organization of the meeting, it has been a very fruitful and friendly event. An overview of the first months of the project, deliverables, THROMBUS website, dissemination, budget, ethics and recruitments were presented by Guy Courbebaisse, coordinator of the network on Thursday 5th of October. Workpackages leaders gave then a presentation outlining the progress done in each workpackage.

On Wednesday morning, Daniel Rüfenacht, neuroradiologist from Hirslanden Clinic of Zürich, was invited to present a talk about Intracranial aneurysms from @neurIST to THROMBUS.

The rest of the morning was devoted to open discussions between work packages in order to organise work between partners. Finally, the Steering Committee ended the meeting.
The meeting was also very successful from the social point of view. All the participants were hosted in the hotel  were the meeting took place, which facilitated interactions and informal discussions from breakfast to dinner.
